This project is interested in the border of an urban landscape, where the city meets the nature. It is using an artificial light (hand torch, car lights or a helicopter´s search light) to illuminate and discover a landscape.
An artificial light paraphrases here not only quite invasive human activity, but also a searching human mind. Through giving an focused attention revaluates an relationship to this „normal“ suburban landscape and lifts up the landscape and its part to unique objects. The fundamental element here is a feeling – an emotion, which we get from some places minded to communicate with us.
Individual scenes were originally chosen because they were providing different strong symbols or familiar composition. Symbols are perceived directly, transmitted to human unconsciousness and give information about options or dangers of that place. I wanted to study my emotions related to these places, but during staying there longer, something else happened. I was pulled into the situation as an participator. I found out, that although we surely have some common perception dictionaries, the dialogue between us and our environment always differ due to our activity.
Other information:
The Emoland ride is continuing of work started in 2008 with an interactive installation. The need for continue working with previous data has lead to a compact video of more shots than in previous interactive installation.

JÍZDA EMOKRAJEM
Video Jízda Emokrajem vychází z interaktivní instalace Emokraj, který se zabývá hranicí urbanisticky-přírodní krajiny jižní části Prahy v cca 1 km čtvereční velké oblasti Písnice-Cholupice.
Celkem devět nočních videí – záznamů z nočních výletů, používá umělé světlo (baterku, světla auta nebo pátrací světlo helikoptéry) k osvětlování a objevování krajiny.
Umělé světlo je zde parafrází nejen poněkud invazivní lidské aktivity (staví se zde městský okruh), ale zároveň i zkoumavé lidské mysli. Věnováním soustředěné pozornosti člověk přehodnocuje vztah k této „obyčejné“ předměstské krajině a povyšuje jí a její části na unikáty. Zásadním prvkem je zde prožitek – emoce, kterou v nás vyvolávají některá místa a snaží se tak s námi komunikovat.
